Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She is an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. This ability that allowed her to get her first position as an Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she worked with the producers of National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS station located in St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. She moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She was also often asked to serve as an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on additional responsibility. She covered The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason as well as the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She was advertised as anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same job was held in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. At some point they were moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. She is younger than her sister. There is an older sibling. Her parents divorced within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. When on vacation Antonietta was staying at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. Antonietta is a senior in high school but she was clear about the career she wanted. So while assessing if Mount Union is the right choice for her Antonietta went to visit the university. The campus was beautiful and offered the degree she sought. When she finished high school, she decided to go to the university to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for many years, became her friend.
